Lane reductions coming Wednesday near 31st Street Bridge

As the South Lake Shore Drive reconstruction project progresses, lane closures return to 31st Street near McCormick Place. Here's what drivers will find:
  • Traffic will be down to one lane in each direction on 31st Street over South Lake Shore Drive.
  • The configuration will be in place beginning Feb. 26 and work is expected to be completed by July.
  • The lane reductions are needed to safely reconstruct 31st Street west of the bridge over South Lake Shore Drive.
