Northbound lane closures tonight and Tuesday night along South Lake Shore Drive

As the South Lake Shore Drive reconstruction project progresses, work will continue during overnight hours today and tomorrow. Drivers should expect possible delays due to related lane closures in the area. Here's what drivers will find:
  • From 8 p.m. tonight (May 19) to 5 a.m. tomorrow morning (May 20), and from 8 p.m. tomorrow night to 5 a.m. Wednesday morning (May 21), Lake Shore Drive will be down to one lane northbound between 51st Street and 47th Street.
  • The lane reductions are necessary for work crews to safely perform sewer work in the area.
  • To avoid any delays, drivers are encouraged to seek Lake Park Avenue as an alternate route.
