Lane reductions tonight along northbound Lake Shore Drive

As the South Lake Shore Drive reconstruction project progresses, drivers should plan for possible delays due to overnight work in Burnham Park. Here's what drivers will find:
  • From 8 p.m. tonight (June 5) until 5 a.m. Friday morning (June 6), northbound traffic will be down from three lanes to two lanes between Oakwood Blvd. (3900 south) and 35th Street.
  • One of the open lanes will be the reversible lane, accessible at 47th Street. The first exit for traffic entering the reversible lane is 18th Street.
  • The lane closures are necessary for work crews to safely pour concrete for new northbound lanes.
