Expect possible delays due to South Lake Shore Drive lane closure

As the South Lake Shore Drive reconstruction project progresses, drivers should expect possible delays, especially in the Burnham Park area. Here's what drivers will find:
  • Beginning after the morning rush hour on Monday (August 4), the left lane northbound from 57th Drive to 47th Street will be closed due to electrical work in the area.
  • The lane reduction will remain in place until Friday (August 8).
  • In other areas, drivers should expect intermittent non-rush hour lane closures in both directions between 23rd Street and 57th Drive.
