Temporary ramp closure along South Lake Shore Drive
As the South Lake Shore Drive reconstruction project progresses, drivers should expect possible delays, especially in the Burnham Park area. Here's what drivers will find:
- From 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 29), the exit ramp from northbound Lake Shore Drive to 47th Street will be closed to traffic.
- Traffic will detour north to Oakwood Blvd. (3900 south), reenter Lake Shore Drive southbound, and exit at 47th Street using the southbound exit.
- This closure is necessary for crews to safely install new street lights along the exit ramp.
- In other areas, drivers should always expect intermittent non-rush hour lane closures in both directions between 23rd Street and 57th Drive.
