New lanes to reopen Saturday in Burnham Park section of South Lake Shore Drive

South Lake Shore Drive work crews tomorrow will continue the process of opening to traffic the newly reconstructed southbound lanes in Burnham Park. HereÕs what drivers will find:

  • On Saturday, November 23rd, the opening of southbound Lake Shore Drive lanes will be extended from 47th Street to 53rd St.

  • Southbound traffic, previously routed to the northbound side of Lake Shore Drive, will be switched to two newly paved lanes open on the southbound side.
