More Lane Closures on South Lake Shore Drive
By Friday morning (June 28) rush hour, traffic in both directions to be affected by ongoing prep work
As the Chicago Department of Transportation continues the prep work stage leading up to the reconstruction of South Lake Shore Drive, drivers in both directions of South Lake Shore Drive will be feeling the pinch. Here's what they will find:
- One lane closed northbound at all times from 47th Street to 23rd Street, beginning by 5 a.m. Friday, June 28 through Monday, July 8.
- One lane closed southbound at all times from the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) to 31st Street, beginning by 5 a.m. Friday, June 28 through Monday, July 1.
- Off-peak lane closures will continue northbound and southbound between 47th Street and 57th Drive.
