As part of the adoption of the 2016 budget, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago City Council established the City of Chicago Absenteeism Task Force (“Task Force”) to study City employee absenteeism and make initial recommendations for reducing and managing absenteeism.
Mayor Emanuel announced Building on Burnham, a comprehensive strategy to invest in Chicago’s waterfronts, parks and neighborhoods.
The plan builds on Daniel Burnham’s vision to bring more open spaces and recreational assets to residents in every neighborhood.
