BACP Releases Plastic Bag, Film Plastic Recycling Report

Pursuant to Section 7-30-020, BACP must submit every two (2) years a report detailing the weight of all plastic carryout bags and other film plastic collected and the physical location at which the recycling occurred. Since the City of Chicago Department of Environment was disbanded on January 1, 2012, the responsibility was transferred to BACP.

BACP posted information on the City of Chicago website and BACP Newsletter alerting business owners of the annual plastic bag recycling reporting requirements. The Biannual Report on Film Plastic Recycling summarizes those results for the period of January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2012.
