Certification of Weighing and Measuring Devices: All devices used for weighing or measuring (i.e., scales and gas pumps), where products are sold directly to consumers, must be certified and sealed annually by the City of Chicago. A certification inspection performed by the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) will test the accuracy of your device.
