Beginning on September 1st, 2010, Certain First-time Licensing Applicants will be Processed by Continental Testing Services
These improvements will increase both the speed and efficiency with which the Department processes first-time license applications for the following trades:
- Supervising Electricians
- Electrical Contractors
- Apprentice and Journeyman Plumbers
- Bonded Plumbing Contractors
- Mason Contractors
First-time license applications must be sent to the address shown below:

For tradesmen already holding a City license, renewal of your existing license will continue to be performed online at the Department of Buildings' website, at the Trade Licensing Renewal page.
