Requirements for Contractor Changes

***NOTE: There is a $50 fee for changing the name of a contractor. There is NO fee for deleting a contractor's name. In addition, a new application must be filled out and submitted.***

For General Contractors

  • Notarized letter from the GC on their letterhead stating the date they are taking over the job and the job address.
  • Notarized letter from the owner stating who the new GC is on the job; and reference to the permit number or a copy of the permit.

For Subcontractors

  • Letter from the Subcontractor on their letterhead stating the address of the job and the date they will start work; as well as reference to the permit number or a copy of the permit.

For Electrical Contractors

  • All changes must be made by creating an online permit. *** For Ownership changes we require Notarized letters from both owner and seller; and notarized proof of sale. Again, reference the permit number or provide a copy of the permit.
