A permit is required to install, operate, erect, construct, reconstruct, alter or add a piece of process equipment, process area, or air pollution control equipment. If your project involves building construction or renovation, you can apply for a permit online through the Department of Buildings (DOB) website. Please note that Air Pollution Control Permits are called Environmental Equipment Permits on DOB’s website.
