The Facts
Black women — more than any other women in the United States are getting HIV. In fact, of all the women living with HIV in the United States, approximately 66% are African American. Most of these women (87%) got HIV by having unprotected sex with a man.
The Good News
More and more women are looking out for themselves and getting tested for HIV. Why? Because, they are doing whatever they can to stay healthy. Whatever the test result, treatment and support programs are
available in your community.
