11th Annual Safety for Life Fair at US Cellular Field

The Chicago Fire Department hosted the 11th annual Safety for Life Fair at US Cellular Field on May 13, 2010.   An EMS poster contest was held, 4th & 5th graders from Chicago Public Schools submitted poster art work focused on Emergency Medical Services in honor of EMS Week.  Eight winners were selected and along with their classroom, attended the fair.  Approximately 200 children attended this year.  Various Emergency stations were set up:  Mock Emergency Rooms, Metra Railroad, Survive Alive Smoke House, Mock 911 center, and the CPD Bicycle Unit to educate the children on how to be aware of dangerous situations and what to do during an emergency.
