2012 Taste Of Chicago Musical Lineup Complete

The musical lineup for the 2012 Taste of Chicago is complete with the addition of a double bill featuring Fitz & the Tantrums and Michael Franti & Spearhead, the evening of Friday, July 13 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Also announced are opening acts for Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12.

Luke James opens for Jennifer Hudson, taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. and opening for Death Cab for Cutie on Thursday, July 12, also at 5:30 p.m. is Calexico.

Taste of Chicago is still a free admission festival, however this year tickets to the seating area at the Petrillo Music Shell will be available for sale in early June and can be purchased for $25 per ticket for all shows.  The lawn seating which accommodates more than 30,000 people is still free.

On Saturday, July 14, a free concert for the kids begins at noon.  Radio Disney AM 1300, part of the #1 radio network for kids, tweens and families, presents a family-friendly concert featuring Roshon Fegan who stars in Disney Channel’s hit series “Shake It Up” and ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” along with the “N.B.T.” (Next BIG Thing) Season Four Winner and Chicago native, Shealeigh.
