Chicago Blues Festival Partnership Opportunities

Chicago Blues Festival, Celebrating its 30th Anniversary, June 6-9, 2013

OVERVIEW

Considered the “Blues Capital of the World,” Chicago produces the largest, free blues celebration featuring month-long programming throughout the city. The Chicago Blues Festival has hosted Blues royalty including Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Koko Taylor, Mavis Staples, Buckwheat Zydeco and Jonny Winter with James Cotton. The event draws an international audience and continues to be a hometown favorite.

Title Sponsorship opportunities of three side stages are available. These high traffic areas feature daytime entertainment and offer a great opportunity to maximize on-site brand visibility.

 

MAY - CHICAGO BLUES FESTIVAL

  • May is the beginning of the Chicago Blues Season which features community-based programming in venues throughout Chicago neighborhoods including: Maxwell Street Market, Old Town School of Folk Music, Chicago Cultural Center, Daley Plaza and several Blues Clubs.

THURSDAY • June 6

  • An additional night has been added to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Festival. The event kicks off with a special evening concert at the world renowned Millennium Park.

FRIDAY • June 7 – SUNDAY • June 9

  • The event continues with three full days of Blues on several stages
  • Special programming follows the “Blues Trail” celebrating the music from key cities along the

Mississippi to Chicago

  • June 7 – celebrates the contributions of Mississippi and New Orleans style Blues
  • June 8 – features Memphis bred blues talent
  • June 9 – the trail ends in Chicago with performances showcasing hometown talent. Special programming planned to celebrate Delmark Records 60th anniversary
