Considered the “Blues Capital of the World,” Chicago produces the largest, free blues celebration featuring month-long programming throughout the city. The Chicago Blues Festival has hosted Blues royalty including Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Koko Taylor, Mavis Staples, Buckwheat Zydeco and Jonny Winter with James Cotton. The event draws an international audience and continues to be a hometown favorite.
