Barbara Cooper's Current fills the 30-foot tall atrium of the Avalon Branch Library. Made of wood and glue, the 20-foot long sculpture hangs from the ceiling and draws visitors into the library and the community room. Current represents the ripple effect of the library on the community, through reading, learning and discovering.
