Come join us this summer as the Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park blossoms into an urban dance space. Dance to the sounds of 44 different live bands and get into step with dance lessons beforehand. Glide across the restored 4,900-square-foot, 100 percent recycled, open-air dance floor designed by Chicago artist Dan Peterman. Swing, waltz, cha-cha…or simply enjoy the music. All FREE!

Chicago SummerDance kicks-off on Thursday, June 27 with Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys.

August performances include Tangata (Argentina Tango), The Hoyle Brothers (Honky-Tonk Country) and T-Rroma (Eastern European Folk Music).

Chicago Park District hosts FREE Chicago SummerDance events on Wednesdays, July 3 – August 28.

Chicago SummerDance continues in July with performances by The Flats Cats, Luisito Rosario, Le Vent du Nord, the Steve Cooper Orchestra and many more.

Chicago SummerDance comes to a close in September with music by the John Burnett Orchestra (40s and 50s Big Band Swing, Ballroom), Afinca'o (Salsa, Mambo), DJ MellowKhris (Chicago Steppin') and more.
