Central Area Action Plan

Action Plan Cover

The Central Area Action Plan (CAAP) contains information intended to encourage the implementation of policies and projects essential for the Central Area’s effective functioning, growth and quality of life.

The CAAP builds upon the vision for the central area articulated in the 2003 Central Area Plan. In addition to including cost estimates for public improvement projects and an implementation timeline, it represents input from community stakeholders and technical expertise from the a steering committee, task forces, city staff and planners. It was adopted by the Chicago Plan Commission on August 20, 2009.
