The Department of Law's hiring process requires applicants to fully complete two steps, each step with its own deadline as identified in the posting.
All interested candidates must:
Applicants should either: (1) be admitted to the bar of the State of Illinois; (2) have taken the first available Illinois State bar following graduation and be awaiting the results of the bar or awaiting admission; or (3) admitted in another State and eligible for admission to Illinois without having to take the Illinois State bar examination.
An employee must be an actual resident of the City of Chicago. Proof of residency will be required at the time of employment.
