Inspector General Research and Recommendations

On Feb. 10, 2010, a proposed amendment to the City's Municipal Code was introduced to City Council and referred to the City Council's Rules and Ethics Committee. The purpose of this memorandum was to examine certain implications of the proposed amendments and to make legislative recommendations as to those proposed amendments that pertain to the City's Governmental Ethics and Campaign Financing Ordinances. The Board's research and recommendations were, subsequently, formally requested by the Chair and Vice Chairs of the City Council's Rules and Ethics Committee.
