The City of Chicago's Baseball Game Residential Permit Parking Program is designed to preserve legal on-street parking for area residents around Wrigley and U.S. Cellular Fields resulting from baseball games and night games. This is accomplished through the distribution and display of special Baseball Residential Parking Permits.
Who is eligible for parking permits?
Residents living within the program area of both ball parks are eligible for baseball parking permits. The following wards are included: 11th, 32nd, 44th, and 47th. Also, each household is automatically eligible for one permanent guest permit that is valid for the entire season. Residents do not have to own a vehicle to receive a guest permit. Only proof of residence will be required. To find out if you are eligible for Baseball Residential Parking Permits, please download the brochure at the bottom of this page that applies to you. If you are new to the community, have a new car and have never received parking permits through the mail, or need additional guest permits, please contact your local alderman's office listed below.
How does this program work?
Game parking permits are distributed to local residents of both U.S. Cellular and Wrigley Fields.
Street signs will indicate what permits apply.
Motorists who park near Wrigley field are required to display a residential parking permit or night game permit during night games.
Motorists near U.S. Cellular Field should display residential parking permit as well as the Baseball Residential Parking Permit. Areas near U.S. Cellular Field that are not residential parking zones are only required to display a Baseball Parking Permit.
Local residents of both ball parks will receive guest passes and single game passes intended for private use only. People attempting to sell these passes illegally to game visitors will be risking fines of up to $500. In addition, visitors who purchase illegal parking passes face the same fines.
Do the permits authorize illegal parking?
No, the permits do not authorize illegal parking.
Where should the permits be displayed?
Permits should be displayed on the driver's (left) side of the windshield in the lower corner.
