Infant/Toddler Programs

Early Steps Programs

Parents seeking care for infants and toddlers can access an array of quality options through programs administered by DFSS. Programs provide a secure, nurturing environment that stimulates growth and development for infants to age three.

With a flexible schedule in relation to eating, sleeping and other routines, infants and toddlers are encouraged to explore their age-appropriate setting. They gain valuable skills in a secure and cheerful setting.

The Department of Family Support Services administers two programs for this age group: Early Head Start and Infant Toddler Care. Both are quality programs with activities and materials tailored to stimulate a child’s development. The programs have different income guidelines and offer varying services to families.
