CHICAGO - Mayor Emanuel announced today that management advisory firm Sagence will move its headquarters to Chicago and will bring 245 jobs to the downtown area.

“Sagence is exactly the sort of forward-thinking, cutting edge company that we are looking to bring to Chicago,” said Mayor Emanuel. “This company attracts the best and brightest employees and offers the type of high-paying, strategic jobs that will fuel Chicago’s economy in the 21st century.”

Sagence Group was founded in 2009, and is dedicated to helping clients maximize value with data assets, including using analytics to drive increased revenue, profitability, and to establish competitive advantages. The firm seeks to help other companies who have made large investments in data maximize the return on their investment.

The company works in a number of sectors, including financial services, insurance, healthcare and consumer products and services, seeking to optimize solutions and increase efficiencies. For example, in the health care space, Sagence has worked to use the same provider data used for regulatory reporting to improve scheduling, monitor follow-up with patients, and improve coordination of care-based activities. By leveraging existing data, the company has been able to find efficiencies that have increased value for health care providers and improved the patient experience dramatically.

Sagence has signed a lease at 525 West Monroe Street, Chicago, IL 6060, and is going to begin moving its personnel and assets at the end of this summer.

This is the 29th jobs announcement made by Mayor Emanuel since he took office, totaling more than 16,000 jobs.
