Statement from Mayor Rahm Emanuel on the Passing of Bernie Sahlins

Chicago was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Second City founder Bernie Sahlins and we send our deepest condolences to his wife Jane and the entire Second City family. Second City launched many comedians to worldwide fame and propelled Chicago to the center of the comedy universe. Chicago is the undisputed home of improv comedy thanks to Bernie, and his legacy of laughter will live on.
