Statement from Mayor Emanuel Regarding Ex-Offender Tax Credits

"I commend the General Assembly, Senator Patricia Van Pelt and Representative Arthur Turner for passing legislation that helps promote the hiring of ex-offenders and will provide more employment opportunities for a population that is far too often dismissed from society. I encourage businesses to take advantage of these increased and extended tax credits to help ex-offenders find opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and crime."
