Mayor Rahm Emanuel and SPINS LLC Owner & CEO Tony Olson today announced that the company has opened its corporate headquarters in Chicago. The company has moved its headquarters to Chicago from Schaumburg and is relocating 150 employees. They plan to add more than 100 new jobs over the next two years.

"SPINS sees what many companies are seeing in Chicago – our unparalleled workforce and world-class transportation systems are a recipe for long-term success,” said Mayor Emanuel. “I welcome SPINS to Chicago and look forward to watching them grow for years to come.”

"We’re pleased to announce that SPINS is planting roots in Chicago,” said Olson. “SPINS is at the center of many of today’s hottest growth sectors, including Big Data, Health, Sustainability and Digital Technology. Being located in Chicago provides us with greater access to top talent as we continue to accelerate growth and add new employees and capabilities.”

SPINS is a leading information and service provider for the Natural and Specialty Products Industry. The company has moved into the 22,000 square foot space on two floors at 222 W. Hubbard, a LEED-certified brick and timber office space in Chicago. The new office will also serve as a welcome host for Chicago-area technology, food, and sustainability events. SPINS’ move further establishes Chicago’s growing strategic role in the health, sustainability, and technology sectors. The city stands poised to become the country’s hub of health and technology as it continues to convene fast-growing companies that are changing the health and wellness landscape in Chicago.

"SPINS brings together the food, technology, and health/sustainability sectors, all of which are thriving in Chicago," said World Business Chicago President & CEO Jeff Malehorn. "Chicago is an ideal location for the next phase of SPINS' growth and we look forward to continuing to work together in the years to come."
