How to Participate in Mayor Emanuel's Virtual Town Hall

To Submit a Question

To join  the conversation and submit a question before the event or vote on questions already submitted, visit www.AskChicago.org.

To Watch Live

If you have one projector, hook the projector up to a computer to watch the event live and online at www.livestream.com/chicagomayorsoffice.  The livestream link is a superior way to watch the event on a projection versus watching the event in Facebook.  A dialogue box will appear along side the live projection. In the dialogue box, you can type questions and comments.

If you have two projectors, you can also follow the conversation by watching the hashtag #askchicago on Twitter. Hook the projector up to a computer, go to Twitter. In the search box, type “#askchicago.”  Participants can tweet questions and comments from their own personal Twitter accounts to the “#askchicago” landing page using the hashtag “#askchicago.”  Questions/comments will appear on this Twitter feed page.  Participants must have a Twitter account to Tweet questions and comments to the “#askchicago” feed.

Watching on Facebook

To watch on Facebook, go to www.facebook.com/chicagomayorsoffice. This page will also be streaming the event live. There will also be a dialogue box in Facebook to post questions and comments. Participants must have and account and log into Facebook to interact.

Note: Participants do NOT need a Facebook account or Twitter account to participate. By watching and using the livestream feed, participants can interact in the dialogue box that accompanies this live feed.  At individual computer stations, a participant can decide which feed they would like to watch—the Livestream, Facebook or Twitter.
