Sanitation Violations
The Department of Streets and Sanitation (DSS) issues sanitation violations to property owners who allow exterior building conditions that contribute to rodent conditions. To report this sanitation code violation to DSS, please call 311 or click on the button below to submit a service request. The department will investigate exterior rat problems and issue tickets as needed. Interior building conditions that are conducive to rodent infestations are under the sole jurisdiction of the Chicago Department of Buildings.
