Grand Avenue Will Be Closed From Cicero To Kostner Until July For Railroad Viaduct Rehabilitation

Traffic Will be Detoured Via North Avenue During Repairs for The Belt Railway Viaduct

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that Grand Ave. will be fully closed for three weeks between Kostner and Cicero Avenues to allow for the rehabilitation of the Belt Railway Viaduct, starting on Monday morning, June 15, weather permitting, until July 3.

During the closure, traffic in both directions will be detoured via North Ave., which intersects with Grand Ave. at Kostner Ave.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
