The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced today that on Monday, August 1 the two easternmost lanes of Lake Shore Drive will be closed between Illinois Street and Grand Avenue from 8:00pm to 6:00am. There will be nightly closures through August 12. The lane closures will allow for the erection and installation of enclosure posts on the new Navy Pier Flyover pedestrian and bike bridge between Lake Shore Drive and Lake Point Tower.

In addition, the east half of the sidewalk on northbound lower Lake Shore Drive between Illinois and Grand will be closed while the work is being performed.
