Addison Corridor (North) TIF

Designation: 1997    Terminated: 2016

The Addison Corridor North TIF district was created to reinforce the area’s role as a viable industrial location for companies needing nearby highway access. Encompassing four large blocks adjacent to the Chicago River in the Avondale community, the 79-acre district is intended to facilitate the assembly of vacant and underutilized land, provide public improvements and create job-generating projects that complement business activity within the greater Addison Industrial Corridor. Additionally, the district is intended to provide job training resources and help facilitate the creation of buffer areas between industrial users and adjacent residential and commercial properties.
