Pershing/King TIF

Designation: 2007    Terminated: 2019

The Pershing/King TIF is intended to help reestablish an economically vibrant neighborhood with appropriate commercial facilities, affordable housing options and related community uses. Priorities involve the rehabilitation and revitalization of existing multifamily and senior housing structures throughout the district, and efforts that upgrade existing commercial properties near its northern border and institutional facilities to the west. Comprising 26 acres, the TIF is also designed to help upgrade public infrastructure, especially water and sewer lines, and to assist with site assembly and preparation efforts that take advantage of the district’s location near the lakefront as well as I-90/94. Job readiness programs are supported by the TIF.
