Dockless Bike Share Pilot Project

The City of Chicago has established requirements for an Emerging Business Permit for a dockless bike share pilot project that will run from May 1, 2018until November 1, 2018. The permits will be issued by the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection.  The permit requirments were updated June 29th,  2018. View the Results of the Dockless Bikeshare Pilot Survey
The City conducted a survey to gather feedback from residents and visitors who used dockless bikeshare during the pilot program between May 1 and November 1, 2018. The survey closed on November 21st, results are publicly available at the link below. These results will be included in CDOT's larger analysis of trip data and other information gathered during the pilot.

Access for People Without Credit/Debit Cards or a Smartphone

Under the City of Chicago's dockless bikeshare permitting criteria, vendors are required to provide access for people who do not have credit or debit cards, and for people who do not have smart phones. For more information about these programs, please fol low the links below.
