  • Board of Health: Responsible for formulating health policies and advising the Mayor and the Public Health Commissioner on all health issues. See past meeting minutes and meeting dates here.
  • Epidemiology / Reports: We are committed to ensuring all residents have access to reports, statistics and data sets that are used to inform CDPH programs about the health status of Chicagoans and their communities.

  • HIV/STI Surveillance: We are responsible for monitoring incidences of HIV/AIDS and STI infection in Chicago and analyzing data that is collected in order to identify trends in reporting and infection and inform public health programming.
  • Institutional Review Board: We, through the Institutional Review Board (IRB), monitors research involving the Chicago Department of Public Health patients/clients and staff. Special attention is given to the protection of patients/clients rights, safety and privacy.
