CDPH is committed to reducing tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke, and eliminating disparities related to tobacco-related disease.
Our tobacco control efforts focus on four main goals:
· Preventing young people from starting to use tobacco
· Helping people to quit smoking
· Protecting people from secondhand smoke exposure
· Eliminating disparities related to tobacco use and its effects among different population groups
We work on a number of strategies to ensure that the places where we live, learn, work and play support tobacco-free living.
