In anticipation of the upcoming Chicago Gospel Music Festival in June, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) is pleased to present a special preview event that will offer opportunities for gospel music artists and industry professionals. On Saturday, March 10, 6–9pm, the ChicagoMade Gospel Music Artists & Repertoire (A&R) Auditions Performance – an opportunity for pre-selected artists to perform live for a panel of music label executives – will take place at the West Point Missionary Baptist Church (3566 S. Cottage Grove).
The ChicagoMade Gospel Music A&R Audition is part of the free 2018 DCASE Professional Development Series of opportunities that includes a Fall A&R Audition for all music genres, workshops, panel, unique showcasing opportunities, conferences, grant resources and more. The program is geared towards Chicago’s emerging creative community and aims to directly connect artists to City of Chicago most visible festivals, events and cultural programming.
The Gospel Music Auditions on March 10 will feature live performances by artists and groups selected to perform for an audience including a panel of major music and marketing executives. Additionally, participants will be considered for a set at this year’s Chicago Gospel Music Festival. The public is invited to watch the FREE performances and cheer on their favorite artists.
The deadline to apply has passed.
