Now in its 17th season, the Chicago winter tradition offers lessons and special programming weekends and during the Chicago Public Schools’ winter break.
Skating is FREE and open to the public, with skate rentals available for $12 Monday-Thursday and $14 Friday-Sunday and Holidays.
Ice Skating Lessons:
Once again this year, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events will present Winter Workouts with FREE skating lessons on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and every day of the Chicago Public Schools Winter Break, one hour before the rink opens. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Grant support for Winter Workouts ice skating lessons is provided by McDonald’s Active Lifestyles Endowment, managed by the Millennium Park Foundation.

Ice Resurfacing lasts approximately 10-20 minutes, depending on conditions.
