Devon/Western TIF

Designation: 1999    Expiration: 2023


Encompassing 52 acres in the West Ridge community, the Devon/Western TIF district is designed to facilitate the rehabilitation of deteriorated commercial and mixeduse properties along Devon and Western avenues and to implement public works projects that attract and sustain private investment. Along Devon, the district is intended to help revitalize predominately one- and two-story structures that serve an already active ethnic shopping district. Along Western, the district is designed to promote mixed-use development on comparatively larger lots and other sites that are underutilized or devoted to car sales and storage. Additional priorities include the expansion of open space within the community, streetscaping and beautification efforts where appropriate, and projects that create off-street parking.
