Greater Southwest Industrial (West) TIF

The Greater Southwest Industrial (West) TIF is characterized by industrial, commercial and institutional sites surrounding the Ford City retail and industrial complex. Located within the West Lawn and Ashburn communities, the 668-acre district was designated to facilitate business retention and expansion projects and other initiatives that result in private investment within the district. Specific goals include the repair and rehabilitation of existing structures where feasible, the assembly of sites of sufficient size and shape for new construction, the establishment of secure parking areas that can be used by multiple users, and the improvement of local streetscapes through right-of-way investments and new landscaping.
