The City of Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) serves as the lead agency coordinating the programs for people who are homeless and funding community agencies that provide housing and supportive services to persons and families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness so that they attain or maintain safe and secure housing to achieve self-sufficiency.
