A Day of Arts and Gardening

The Chicago Children's Museum’s presents: Artful Play and  Learning! Join in the fun of Art-a-Go-Go and Marble Painting with opportunities to shake, rattle and roll to create a colorful artwork!  Collect a few of the museum’s Recipes for Play to try at home and learn more about the museum and its resources for children and families with disabilities.

Envision Unlimited/Videnovich Farms present Do-It-Yourself Herb Planters! Add some flavor to your meals! Grow your own basil, mint, and other herbs by recycling plastic water bottles into self-watering planters. Participants can take home their finished project and turn any sunny window into a garden space. This project is easy to replicate as it uses materials found around the home and takes a  minimum of space.
