Ensuring that Chicago’s sidewalks are safe and accessible for all residents is a top priority for CDOT. CDOT incorporates ramps in all ongoing capital projects, including street reconstruction, street resurfacing, and sidewalk improvements.

CDOT typically installs more than 7,000 ADA compliant ramps across the City each year and has installed over 137,000 citywide since 2006.

Residents can report the condition of ADA ramps by submitting a "Sidewalk Inspection Request" through 311 and at the link below
