Washington / Wabash Loop Elevated Station Project

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) is seeking public comment on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the planned Washington / Wabash Loop Elevated Station Project.

As part of this process, public feedback is required and desired on certain topics within the EA document.

Paper copies are available to review at Harold Washington Public Library Center, Municipal Reference Collection (400 S. State Street 5th Floor, Chicago IL 60605).

This project includes the consolidation of two closely spaced existing Loop Elevated Stations at Madison/Wabash and Randolph/Wabash into one single station at Washington/Wabash that will be accessible to people with disabilities.

The new station will have updated platforms, a new mezzanine and feature several modern amenities including elevators, an escalator, real time train arrival information, and security monitoring equipment.

Written comments on the EA must be received by the Chicago Department of Transportation by 5pm CST, Friday, April 4, 2014.
