Chicago Area Clean Cities
Chicago Area Clean Cities (CACC) coalition is a voluntary, locally-based coalition dedicated to encouraging the use of clean fuels and clean fuel vehicles in the Chicago metropolitan area. Part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities Program, CACC supports public-private partnerships that deploy alternative fuel vehicles, such as those using biodiesel, compressed natural gas and propane, and build supporting infrastructure. By encouraging alternative fuel vehicle use, CACC helps enhance energy security and environmental quality at the local and national levels.
CACC is one of 83 Clean Cities coalitions across the country. The City of Chicago coordinates CACC, whose members represent governments, businesses, educational and research institutions, fuel providers, utilities and environmental organizations.
