Planned Development Statements (Proposed)

The City of Chicago is moving toward the implementation of standard Planned Development (PD) statements to simplify the PD application process.  Once in final form, the statements will allow for project-specific adjustments to various portions of the text but the basic terms and requirements will remain consistent among all new PDs filed after Jan. 1, 2012.

In addition to standard statement language, the second half of the document contains terms that relate to unique projects that will not be relevant to all PDs. This language will be included on a project-by-project basis as necessary.

Interested parties are welcome to review the statements and provide comments to the Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) by Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011.  The final version of the statements will be posted online by Jan. 1, 2012.
