Harrison Street Bridge Repairs Begin Monday May 23. Repairs will close bridge to all traffic between 9:30am and 2:30pm

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that the Harrison Street Bridge will be closed for bridge balancing and electrical and mechanical repairs. The work will begin on Monday, May 23 and the bridge will be closed to pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle traffic daily from 9:30am to 2:30pm.

The work will take approximately two weeks and is expected to be completed by June 3. No work will be done and the bridge will be open to all traffic during Memorial Day weekend.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Clinton, Roosevelt, Clark and back to Harrison Street. Westbound detours will be Franklin, Van Buren, Clinton and back to Harrison.
