Statement from Mayor Emanuel and CPS CEO Jackson on CPS High Schools Being Named Among Best in the Nation

Newly released data by Niche, which analyzes school data across the country, ranked five Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high schools as among the best 100 public high schools in the nation. Four CPS high schools were ranked among the top 10 in Illinois.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and CPS CEO Dr. Janice K. Jackson said in a joint statement:

“Chicago is proud to be home to many of the best public high schools not just in Illinois, but anywhere in America. This national recognition is the latest in a long line of testaments to the progress and success of our city’s hard-working students, teachers, principals and families. Chicago Public Schools students are making historic progress, and education experts across the country are taking note.”
