February 23, 2024

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that beginning Monday, February 26 after the morning rush, DuSable Lake Shore Drive will have one lane closed to traffic in each direction between Randolph Street and Grand Avenue. The closure will be in place through Memorial Day. Additional lane closures will be implemented during off peak hours.

This closure is to facilitate ongoing repairs to the DuSable Lake Shore Drive Bridge and viaduct network over the Ogden Slip. Ramp closures on lower-level DuSable Lake Shore Drive are still in place.

Ongoing Ramp Closure:

 1/29/2024

Beginning Monday, January 29, the ramp connecting southbound lower-level DuSable Lake Shore Drive (DLSD) to upper level DLSD was fully closed to traffic as part of the ongoing viaduct repair project. The ramp, which is located south of Chicago River, will remain closed until approximately mid-April to facilitate expansion joint rehabilitation and pin and link plate replacement.

Motorists will detour by continuing on Lower Level DLSD to Intermediate Wacker Drive to Intermediate Columbus Drive to Intermediate Randolph Street to Southbound Upper DLSD.
